An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the City College Norwich Apprenticeships Team. Due to rising Industry demand we currently have vacancies for full time posts within our Property Maintenance and Brick Laying Team. We are looking for someone who has up to date industry skills. This is an ideal opportunity to instill best practise and have an influence on shaping the next generation of PMO and Brick Layers entering the Industry.
In these roles, you could be delivering practical and theory sessions to groups of PMO or brick laying apprentices or engaging with learners and employers to assess competence in the workplace, which is why you will need such a strong technical skillset as well as excellent interpersonal skills. We have high standards for our students in the tracking and recording of work and assessments so you will need to be well organised and efficient as well as a confident user of IT. If you have been working in an environment where you are used to giving feedback constructively and setting challenging but realistic targets, that would be beneficial when applying for these roles. Ideally, you will have teaching qualifications and at least a level 3 qualification in your trade area. However, we would love to hear from you if you have the appropriate industry skills and experience (five years minimum), great communication skills (written and verbal) and the patience and passion to help others learn, develop and progress. We could support you to train as a teacher if you have no teaching qualifications but the right soft skills and technical trade background. We would also be equally happy to hear from those of you who are existing lecturers and looking for a change of workplace or environment! Therefore, a new one must be completed with the organisation.
