Tutor Assessor in Accountancy
29.6 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
£23,789 - £25,389 per annum pro rata (£19,031 - £20,311 actual amount)
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the City College Norwich Apprenticeships Team. We have a substantive vacancy for a 0.8 post in our Accountancy Team. We are looking for someone who has up to date skills in accountancy. There is a robust new suite of apprenticeship standards that need delivering to meet the demands of industry and to secure the future generation of accountants and this role will be a key part of how we do that.
In this role, you will be delivering sessions to groups of accountancy apprentices which is why you will need such a strong skillset and good interpersonal skills too. You will need to be a confident user of IT. We have high standards for our students in the tracking and recording of work and assessments so you will need to be well organised and efficient. If you have been working in an environment where you are used to giving feedback constructively and setting challenging but realistic targets, that would be beneficial when applying for this job.
A teaching qualification is not essential, but ideally you will have at least a level 3 qualification in your accountancy area. We would love to hear from you if you have the appropriate industry skills and experience (three years minimum), great communication skills (written and verbal) and the patience to help others learn. We would support you to train as a trainer/assessor if you have no assessing qualifications but the right soft skills and accountancy background.
